If you want to make money blogging, you have a few options. You can use affiliate marketing for bloggers, create your own product, sell advertisements, get sponsored, or use a program, such as Google AdSense.
In fact, some bloggers use all of these options, but I don’t recommend it.
Before I dive into affiliate marketing for bloggers, I want to introduce you to a free download that will better explain what you’re getting into. It’s called “The Unspoken Truth About Internet Marketing” and you can download it here.
Make sure you read this post to the very end, as I will be introducing you to a couple of the best systems for bloggers looking to use affiliate marketing.
Now, let’s get into the subject, affiliate marketing for bloggers.
What is Affiliate Marketing Exactly?
Maybe you already know the answer or you think you know the answer to this question. The basic definition of affiliate marketing is getting paid a commission to market and sell someone else’s product.
Affiliate marketing for bloggers often means you’ll be writing reviews of products you already use or introducing your readers to products in another way. When you make a sale through your special link, you’ll get paid a commission. The best part, it doesn’t cost your readers extra and they often get a discount by using your affiliate link.
You’ll see examples of affiliate marketing all throughout my blog. I use affiliate links to make money blogging in many forms, especially when it comes to tools bloggers need, such as great WordPress hosting, excellent SEO plugins, autoresponders, and other tools.
Creating a Product vs. Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers
When you want to make money blogging, you have to very good options to do so: create your own product or use affiliate marketing. As a beginner, affiliate marketing is much easier and a great way to test things out.
As the free guide, I already introduced you to called, “The Unspoken Truth About Internet Marketing” states, it’s much easier to use affiliate marketing for bloggers than for bloggers to create their own product.
With affiliate marketing, you get a chance to try things out with someone else’s system. If you choose good products, you’ll know they convert into sales and you can try out your traffic generation and blogging methods.
The bottom line, if you cannot sell someone else’s product, how will you ever be able to sell your own? By using affiliate marketing, bloggers have the opportunity to test things out before diving into the process of creating their own product.
Top Affiliate Networks for Bloggers to Make Money Blogging
I am not going to tell you exactly how to use affiliate marketing to make money blogging. Instead, I have included several links to the free guide called, “The Unspoken Truth About Internet Marketing.” I am also going to include a couple of the best options to learn how to use affiliate marketing to make money blogging at the end of this post.
Use these resources as they are the exact resources I have used to build a full-time income as an affiliate marketer and blogger.
I will give you my top affiliate networks for bloggers looking to make money from affiliate products.
My absolute favorite and the best choice for beginners, ClickBank allows just about anybody to join. The products are digital and very easy to find, promote, and make money from. Once you get your first sale, you’ll be hooked.
Commissions on Clickbank can range from about 25% to 90%. Many products offer commissions on their upsells and they may even offer a recurring commission if you want to make a passive income. I love promoting recurring commission products because I get paid over and over again for gaining one sale.
Another great choice for affiliate marketing, Amazon allows you to promote any product they offer. The best part about using Amazon’s affiliate program is the ability to promote from a very trusted merchant. In addition, you can easily promote products you use every day by finding them on Amazon.
Amazon is very easy to use for affiliate marketing and making money from blogging. However, the commission percentage is very low starting at 4% and going up as you gain more sales.
Another good affiliate network for bloggers to use, Commission Junction or CJ.com, offers several merchants, many selling physical products. I like the variety found here, but you will need to have your blog up and running to get approved.
With ShareASale, you’ll find some of the top merchants with great products for you to promote. I use it often as they have some products you won’t find anywhere else. The commissions with ShareASale are a bit all over the map. They have both physical and digital products, along with some offering recurring commissions.
This affiliate network is a bit different and provides offers, along with products. In some cases, you don’t have to sell anything to make money blogging when you use FlexOffers. If you want to make money blogging without actually selling or promoting products, FlexOffers gives you exactly what you need.
Along with these top networks, you will also find many of the best products have their own in-house affiliate program. If you want to promote a specific product and you cannot find its’ affiliate program, just Google, “Product Name + Affiliate.” If they have an affiliate program, you’ll likely find it through this type of search.
