My Expert Advice for Landing the Right Freelance Fitness Writing Jobs

Entering the fitness niche as a freelance writer is certainly a good choice. As you can see above, there are plenty of websites ready to pay you to write about fitness.

One of the things I really like about this niche is the fact that it goes along with health. When you put fitness and health together, you have one of the largest niches on the internet today. This means it’s much easier to find plenty of freelance fitness writing jobs to keep you busy and keep your bank account full.

My advice for the fitness niche is very simple; create something unique. The fitness niche is a bit saturated with the common articles about exercises everybody that’s ever stepped into a gym is aware of and has tried.

Creating something unique may seem difficult, but it’s really not. Maybe you have a fitness routine that is quite different than someone else. Maybe you have knowledge of a specific type of exercise that’s not so mainstream yet, such as CrossFit, which is a sub-niche of the fitness niche.

You will have far more success submitting articles and pitches to the sites above if you can come up with something unique.

I have one other piece of advice when it comes to freelance fitness writing jobs. Simply put, scour the job boards for private freelance writing clients. I wrote a blog post about the top 7 writing websites that pay you consistently. Check it out and pay attention to the job boards I included on that list.

Job boards may not always have someone looking for fitness writing, but when I check them regularly, there’s almost always someone looking for articles related to health and fitness.

Remember, it only takes a couple of consistent clients to really make freelance writing a full-time, high-paying gig. Use the websites above to find plenty of freelance fitness writing jobs and scour the job boards for private clients, too.

Maybe the fitness niche is just one of the niches you want to get paid to write about. I’ve created a MASSIVE list of websites in all kinds of niches that will pay you to write articles.

Of course, you can also find a niche you love, such as travel, finance, business, marketing, or one of many other great niches for freelance writers, and get my COMPLETE list of 100+ Websites that Pay Writers by clicking here.
