Hosting Matters and my SiteGround Hosting Review will show you SiteGround is the best choice for WordPress hosting BY FAR!
Without great hosting for your blog or website, you may never see the traffic you need to create an online income. Sometimes, blogs simply don’t survive because they chose the wrong hosting company.
I am here to keep you from making the mistake I made many years ago. You don’t need cheap hosting and you don’t need bad hosting.
What you need is a hosting company with the right SEO and blogging tools already installed. Whether you’re a complete newbie or you’ve been trying to create a successful blog or years, the right hosting company makes a huge difference.
I have personally used about a half dozen hosting companies and worked with several others for past clients and current clients. The very best hosting I have ever found is SiteGround Hosting and that’s why I am finally writing a review of their WordPress hosting.

Starting a blog is already hard enough. While my FREE How to Become a Blogger Guide will make it easier, choosing a bad hosting company will only make it harder. Nobody decides to start a blog because they want to spend hours chatting with support to fix issues or get their blog set up.
You want to share content with the world. Whether it’s written, video, podcast or image, you want to share your creativity, your hobby, your life or something else you love with the world. Of course, you probably want to make money from your blog, too, and maybe even become a full-time blogger.
I am here to tell you, it’s all possible and you can have a successful blog, but it has to start with the right hosting company. For my money, SiteGround Hosting is the very best for WordPress!
SiteGround Features
One of the main reasons I chose SiteGround Hosting was the features they give you for SEO. If you don’t know what SEO is, I encourage you to look it up and learn about it. Basically, it’s the marketing strategy that will help catapult your blog posts and website to the top of Google for specific search terms.
One of the main factors used by Google to rank a website is how fast they load. SiteGround Hosting makes it possible to start a website for less than $6 a month and have it load just as fast as a website on a $500 per month dedicated server. Their WordPress hosting options are super-fast and will ensure you have the perfect foundation for GREAT SEO!
Don’t get me wrong here, speed is only one factor for SEO, but it’s vital to ranking high on Google!
SiteGround offers three levels of WordPress Hosting:
These levels make it a perfect choice for those just starting out or even those with a blog or a few websites already up and running. You can switch over to SiteGround Hosting from another hosting company and you’ll be amazing at how much better their hosting is compared to any company you’re currently with.
Each package is designed specifically to help bloggers using WordPress get exactly what they need. You won’t have to worry about much, as they’ve already taken care of some very important features for better speed and security.
StartUp Package
The StartUp Package usually sells for $11.95, but it’s just $3.95 per month through my exclusive link here.
This package is perfect for those with just one website or just getting started out. You’ll be able to grow up to about 10K visitors per month before you’ll need to upgrade. In addition, you’ll get the Essential WordPress Features package, which includes:
- Free WordPress Installation
- Free WordPress Migration
- Free SSL and HTTPS (VITAL FOR SEO!!)
- Free Email
- Free Cloudflare CDN (AMAZING FOR SEO!!)
- Free Daily Backup
- WP Auto updates (Helps with security)
- WP CLI and SSH
- 24/7 WP Support
- Unmetered Traffic
- Unlimited MySQL Databases
Most other hosting companies won’t even support WordPress unless you pay extra!
This is a basic hosting package customized to fit with those starting a blog or website on the WordPress platform. It’s the perfect starter package and great for those only looking to host one blog or website.
My Personal Experience with the StartUp Package
I have a StartUp package for my freelance writing website and only for that website. Since SEO isn’t a huge strategy for my marketing with this business, I chose the StartUp package instead of the GrowBig package (more on this in a moment).
While this is a bit of a basic package compared to the other two options, it’s perfect for my website. It’s fast, gives me plenty of space and provides all the tools I need. If I were marketing through SEO more heavily, I would upgrade this account to a GrowBig account. However, I am replacing this income with income from my own blogs, so this site and hosting account won’t matter so much in the future.
SiteGround Hosting Review: GrowBig Package
Usually, the GrowBig package goes for $19.95 per month, but my exclusive link will get you a huge discount. You’ll just pay $5.95 per month. Claim your discount by clicking here now!
My personal recommendation for the very best SEO without breaking the bank is the GrowBig Package. I have this account for this very website, along with my wife’s website and a few others I may work on in the future.
One of the biggest advantages of the GrowBig package from SiteGround Hosting is the ability to host multiple websites. I don’t know if there’s a limit, but I have 6 websites/domains on the account right now and more space than I know what to do with.
In addition to hosting multiple websites, you get 20GB of Web Space, which is double the StartUp package and it will support up to 25K monthly website visitors. This package also comes with the Essential WordPress Features listed above with the StartUp package. You will also get the Premium WordPress Features, which include:
- Free WordPress Transfer (Nice little bonus)
- Priority Technical Support
- WordPress SuperCacher (GREAT for SEO!)
- Free Backup Restores
For $2 more per month, you get so much more compared to the StartUp package. The WordPress SuperCacher, alone, is worth the extra cost.
My Personal Experience with the SiteGround Hosting GrowBig Package
I have the GrowBig package for this site and a handful of others, as I already stated. It’s better for SEO than the StartUp package mainly because of the WordPress SuperCacher.
You can get a free caching plugin, but this specific feature makes it so much easier to get excellent caching without doing anything. It’s set up for you and ready to go. This means you don’t have to install a plugin and try to figure out the best way to set it up for optimal caching.
In addition, the free website transfer is great if you already have a website or blog on another hosting company. I had them transfer this site over (handled the others myself with their tutorial) and it was a fast and easy process. Of course, having a backup restored is great, but I cannot speak to this personally as I haven’t had to have this done.
SiteGround Hosting Review: GoGeek Package
The most expensive WordPress Hosting package offered by SiteGround is the GoGeek package. It normally sells for $34.95 per month, but my exclusive link will get you a discounted rate of $11.95 per month. You can claim the discount by clicking here.
If you’re not a tech guru or very tech-savvy, you probably don’t want or need this package. I don’t have a GoGeek account. I thought about it when I signed up but realized it wasn’t necessary right now. The only way I will have this type of account with SiteGround is if I run out of space or need something supporting more traffic.
The GoGeek package supports up to 100K in monthly website traffic and gives you 30GB of space. You get the Essential WordPress Features, the Premium WordPress Features, and the Geeky WordPress Features, which include:
- 1-Click WordPress Staging
- Fewer Accounts on your Server
- Pre-Installed Git for WordPress
- PCI Compliant Servers
- Free Backups on Demand
These are great features, but I honestly don’t know how they might benefit you much outside of supporting more traffic. However, when I surpass the 25K traffic mark every month, I will be upgrading to this type of account.
SiteGround Hosting Review: Other Types of Hosting
One of the other big reasons I chose SiteGround is the ability to grow with them as my blog and website grow. I can upgrade to the GoGeek when I get too much traffic for the GrowBig account. After that, I can move over to Cloud Hosting, which is scalable and even if I surpass that, I can get a dedicated server from them.
I don’t know much about their other types of hosting, but I do know they exist if I ever need them.
SiteGround Hosting Review: The BackEnd
Have you tried to start a blog or website before and when you logged into your hosting account it was just confusing? I’ve been there and I felt that way with HostGator and a handful of other hosting companies. SiteGround, however, has one of the cleanest, easiest to use backends I have ever seen.
So many times, I have logged in to a different hosting account for a client only to spend an hour trying to figure out where everything is and being confused. With SiteGround, you don’t have to waste time. You can simply log in, go to My Accounts and you’ll see your hosting account.
From there, you can simply click Manage Account and use CPanel to manage your account. You can also access your WordPress admin panel from here and add any extra services you need to your domains, too.
The backend also offers support, billing, and plenty of resources to help you throughout the process. One of my favorite things that SiteGround offers is the tutorials for WordPress and many other platforms. This makes it possible for a complete beginner to learn how the hosting works and perform the necessary tasks to move forward with their blog.
Is SiteGround Hosting Support the Best?
I can’t speak for all SiteGround customers, but for me, SiteGround Hosting support has been above and beyond. With the GrowBig account, you get priority support, so it’s super-fast.
I used their support when having my website transferred and they were friendly, quick, and efficient. I also had to use it one other time when a WordPress site of mine wasn’t automatically updating and it had an issue. The guy that helped me had it fixed super-fast!
Overall, I rate SiteGround Support with an A+ because they are fast, efficient, and knowledgeable.
My Final Thoughts on SiteGround Hosting
When it comes to the foundation of your blog or website, you need it to be solid. You wouldn’t build a house on a foundation of sand, so why would you choose a hosting company that’s less than great?
SiteGround Hosting will give you the solid foundation you need to ensure your blog has the very best chance for success. Of course, you still have to do the work, and starting with my FREE How to Start a Blog Guide is a great start.
If you want to be a successful blogger or run a successful website, it starts with the hosting you choose. The WordPress hosting packages from SiteGround Hosting are far above and beyond any other hosting company I have ever seen or used. Choose SiteGround Hosting and you’ll be off to a great start!
