Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover Review

Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover Review

I often refer to the Peoplemover ride as a hidden gem. It’s not something everybody knows about and it took us some time to figure out. When we first went to the Magic Kingdom, we would see this ride moving along through Tomorrowland, but we had no idea what it was. Eventually, we figured out, it was the Peoplemover!

It’s actually called the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, but most just refer to it as the Peoplemover. This ride is basically a tour of Tomorrowland and offers a relaxing journey everybody can enjoy. We’ve been on it probably 10 or 12 times because my wife absolutely loves this ride and I enjoy it, too.

I should mention, this ride is presented by Alamo.

Reviewing the Queue & the Wait

There really isn’t much of a queue to enjoy or much of a wait for this ride. It’s called the Peoplemover, so it shouldn’t have much of a wait or it’s not living up to its’ name. It won’t take more than about 10 or 15 minutes to get onto this ride and you won’t be standing in a queue for very long.

Intensity

This isn’t an intense ride at all. I give it a 3 out of 10 for intensity. Walt Disney World calls the thrill level for this ride “Slow Rides” which is pretty accurate. There is no height restriction and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is for all ages.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover Review: The Ride

Peoplemover

Peoplemover

It all starts at Rockettower Plaza where you will take off on your tour of Tomorrowland. This breezy ride is perfect for cooling down and it lasts about 10 minutes. You will get to tour some of the most popular attractions including Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Monster Floor and more. You will also get a look at the early models of Progress City, which was the concept for Epcot.

Originally, Peoplemover was opened on July 1st, 1975 and called the WEDWay Peoplemover. It was based on the Peoplemover at Disneyland park and it’s well worth the ride.

Peoplemover: Fastpass+ Worthy?

You won’t need a Fastpass+ for this ride and there won’t be one offered. This is a quick wait and it’s not Fastpass+ worthy.

My Final Opinion of Peoplemover

PeopleMover Review

PeopleMover Review

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover has become one of our favorite rides. It’s the one we choose when we are killing time between Fastpasses or we just need to relax and catch our breath. It goes into air-conditioned areas and it’s a great ride on a hot day when you need to relax.

I have also heard that some mothers love it because it will keep kids busy and you can go over and over again without waiting very long. Overall, the Peoplemover will probably be one of the rides we go on the most this year, as we have already been on it more than any other ride at Walt Disney World.

My rating for Peoplemover is a 7.5 out of 10 and it’s a NEED TO DO ride at the Magic Kingdom. Don’t miss this fun little hidden gem that you won’t find on the Fastpass+ list!
